Development
It's no Secret that SigEp is here to make
men better men – Balanced Men. So what exactly do we mean? We
believe that shared experiences and continual growth of our minds
and bodies makes us live a full life.
SigEp is there to help you along the way and
provide opportunities and new experiences on your quest as a
Balanced Man. As you develop as an individual within your SigEp
chapter, you are helping to build a stronger chapter with diverse
experiences. You are encouraging others to get out there and try
new things – to stretch their minds and bodies to new heights.
Sound
Mind and Sound Body
The ancient Greeks believed that a
body’s good health was vital as it is the vessel of the mind. The
mind houses your humanity, and, therefore, exercise of the mind is
just as important as exercise of the body for full maturing and
development. The purpose of a human’s time on earth is to live the
best, balanced life and to explore the unexamined facets that make
us better men. Thus, the Balanced Man Ideal – living a life
encompassing Sound Mind and Sound Body – was created to frame
programming ideas.
The concept of a healthy body and an
active mind filters through each one of our SigEp chapters. With
the Balanced Man Ideal our members are expanding their minds while
building their healthiest bodies.

Academics
Academic performance and scholastic
achievement are signs of Sound Minds at work. Reinforcing the
value of education and its importance, Sigma Phi Epsilon exists to
advance the mission of the college or university where it has a
chapter.
Leadership
Continuum
The Leadership Continuum is an
award-winning* series of distinct and progressive leadership
opportunities aimed at teaching and reinforcing SigEp values to a
Brother from the day he joins to the day he graduates. Through
self-discovery, analysis, and interaction, Brothers develop skills
necessary to lead balanced lives and to continue leading the
fraternity world.
